But isn't it kind of genius to pay people so little that they get food stamps that they then use to buy food at Walmart?

And getting the government to fund their profit margins while doing it!!
And I think that will be the fundamental argument that will successfully push the issue of paying living wages.

Besides, Walmart like any corporation pays 13% in taxes, but their employees pay at least double of that.

Wal-Mart (and other big box grocery stores too, I'm sure) don't pay their employees a living wage. Employees get SNAP benefits from the government to help make ends meet. Some of said SNAP benefits doubtlessly gets spent at Wal-Marts.

Isn't that a business subsidy? Corporate welfare, if you will?

Corporate welfare is okay, because they're worth more than people. In Crazy Conservative Land, money is ALWAYS worth more than actual people.
