Yeaaaahhh.....you see, everything that's under Old Earth Creationism? That can be reconciled with science because it doesn't rely on an absolutely literal interpretation of the Bible. Everything under Young Earth Creationism? Can't. You have to actively deny science in order to believe in Young Earth Creationism because you have Biblical inerrancy. Nothing existed before about 6000 years ago. The Flood happened EXACTLY as written in the Bible, all across the Earth. And so on.

How many people in the USA believe in Young Earth Creationism? About 45%. That's about 138,153,000 people.

It really DOESN'T require a belief in Biblical errancy either though... when attending a religious highschool I accepted the thought that God could have used evolution so his creation would adapt to future environments, or that "6 days" doesn't have to mean 6 subsequent days, or even 6 24 hour days... after all God is supposed to be eternal then time would be kind of meaningless anyways. So why all the rush making the earth and trees and things?

If God is truly great then God shouldn't be phased by a silly thing like evolution.

There is even a bit in the bible about "a day to god is like a thousand years to man" meaning that god doesn't need to abide by temporal limitations.

There is also a (tiny) bit of controversy over the word used to mean "a day" in Genesis. Apparently it could be reconciled differently as "an epoch" depending upon your context...

See there you go, in this case it wouldn't be that the Bible is errant, just that translations between Hebrew and English are.

English is extremely errant as a matter of fact... doesn't make much sense the lot of it.

Creationism makes about as much sense as the Trinity (none).

Seriously I thought she and Neo's romance plot came out of nowhere in the first film.
