There has been plenty of principled conservative commentary at townhalls. Sure there have been whackos but they tend to get the media coverage because it makes for better telivision.
So you are saying that if they are NOT respectful then they don't deserve a voice? Hell most of these cartoons are not very respectful. Satire isn't very respectful, that is why it is satire. You ever heard of a little thing called freedom of speech? It isn't just freedom of "respectful" speech. People voicing their concerns...respectful or not have a right to be heard.
Nobody has a right to stand there and scream so another person can't get their point across. That's not civil discourse, it's thuggery. I'm sorry if you can't see that. These townhalls are serious matters and the conservative drones are turning them into shouting matches. It is anti-democratic and I am under no obligation to respect it or to let them succeed. Satire is a form of comedy, what they're doing at the townhalls is not satire. I think someone pointed this out before but you obviously don't know what the word satire means. Satire is not any act that rails against authority. Satire is comedy that points out the foibles of the powerful.
