I wish it was professional debaters instead of celebrities though - they weren't very good at it. Many arguments were overused, not addressed or used poorly.

Hitchens and the MP are both practised rhetoricians and debaters. I think Fry did a great job, too. He kept punching the topics that engaged the audience. When you have a debate with audience voting, that is professional debating.

I don't know how anyone can call Hitchens and Fry not very good at debating after seeing them convince a third of their audience.

dormant_dragon and I have just finished watching this. In her words, "If I didn't think Stephen Fry was God before, I certainly do now."

We were both very saddened that the speakers for the Church were so insubstantial. They provided absolutely no support for their church.
