So, I'm still looking for a place to live. The rental market in Canberra is just insane at the moment. Upwards of 40 people applying for just about every property on the market. I've found Allhomes to be a very useful site for finding properties, and so I've been spending a fair bit of time checking the site regularly, trying not to miss any ( Read more... )

do you have pets is that why your not considering a flat/unit?

in june i'll be renting a 3 bedroom in ainslie for $300 per week but i'm lucky it belongs to a friend of mine.

Yep, Xander and Willow. Couldn't leave Xander behind; he's so definitely my cat.

yep he sure is.. does willow still do that run up and nibble thing.. i used to love that... I know how hard it is I have kevin and it limited my rental prospects.. look i'm seriously needing to move too but I think you'd probably become some sort of cidal either homo or sui living with me but maybe there are share options that may suit such as a house and granny flat you can consider.. if you get stuck maybe you could consider a caravan

how much rent are you willing to pay? I can ask around with people in know.. UC has a rentals board too online in their accomodation section

Willow does still do the nibble thing, though not as often as he used to. I think that's largely because he spends so much time out of the house, though. There are too many cats here for him to be comfortable, I think.

No, I don't think us two sharing a house would work out, plus there's the fact that I assume you want to live northside, where I would prefer the northern side of Tuggeranong. I'm looking at up to $350 a week.

rentals everywhere are insane atm, there's nasty backstabbing and even bidding wars going on up here and I hear rumors of the same in sydney.

if you want a decent rental in qld, you have to know someone, prices for houses are over 550 and rising steadly.
