[Today, Poland has important questions for you, Luceti.]
Question time!!
1. Whos good with hair??? We need a hairdresser totally
2. Where do you get liquid display crystals? Or something like that I dont know but where do you get them? Somebody give me some because I need them
[Last one is a little weirder

So have the following reply, written in a rather stiff-looking but precise script.]
1. I have yet to see any formal sort of announcement as to whether there are any hairdressing facilities in Luceti, but considering the varying disciplines of those studying here, I am positive that there is at least somebody who could be of service to you. [This question is somewhat of interest to Robert as well - after all, his hair's eventually going to need cutting.]2. What purpose might you be needing the liquid display crystals for? Although at present I confess I have no idea where you could obtain them from, it may be plausible that your request can be somehow dealt with in ( ... )

2. I doubt that I have met him yet, but hopefully that will change in the future.
3. I understand your discomfort with it. I myself am... not used to asking for help.
I am glad that there is someone who will assist you.
[Oh, and that last part.
Oh geez. Robert... really doesn't know how to respond at first. Have a long period where he doesn't write anything...
And then...]

It...
Well. It is difficult for me to speak of, but... [Well, it's not like Poland is somebody who knows Robert very well, and he can't see the fierce blush on Robert's face as he writes a very... bare-bones account]
A... former partner and close friend of mine and I had a... tumultuous break-up. It... was uncomfortable, to say the least.
[Don't mind Robert, he's just being a little sad now. Or maybe a lot sad. It's a good thing nobody can see him sniffling a bit.]

What happened???

It... I don't know if there is much else I feel at liberty to say.
Just... the situation... reminded me of the loss. [Why did he even say this much? Why does he want a strange person knowing anything about him?
Perhaps it's because, for once, he feels... Like perhaps people care about him. But he doesn't know if he can trust Poland.]

But all he knows is that if his situation reminds him of his break-up, that's not good.]
Oh
[And that's all he says.]
Reply
He's still afraid, Poland knows more about him now than anybody else in Luceti - and Poland doesn't even know his name.
Maybe that's why it was so easy to tell him.]
I... am not usually the kind of person to admit such things, regardless...
But I hoped that... the same thing would not happen to you.
Please, hold on to people who love you.

Or doing something that messes everything up.
It takes him a few moments to say anything, but he does after a while.]
OK
[...awkward. That's all he can think of to say. Obviously, as it's been shown, Poland's not one for being too spectacular with words.]

Only that he's aware of having... somehow, impossibly... shared a small part of himself with someone who seemed to be struggling in a lot of the same ways he did.
Could... Could he connect to this person, who seems so different from him? Who seems impulsive and shallow and... well, strange?
It's awhile before he writes the next part.]
I wish you... luck.
Whomever you are.

But he sees a way to make things less awkward and he grabs for it.]

... I am Professor Robert Alexander Hastings.

[Don't worry, he'll probably forget everything about this conversation other than the part that had to do with himself.]

But yes, I suppose that... has something to do with how I speak.
[Robert's sort of weirded out with how easily that awkwardness diffused.
Even if a small part of him is still a little sad over the lingering memories.]
Reply
Well you dont have to talk like that all the time
[And meet Poland, this happens regularly when you know him.]
Reply
I... suppose I don't, but it is difficult for me to converse in any other fashion. The words do not come nearly so easily then.
[Robert's so used to being pretentious that he really does find it hard to do anything else.]

Dude how??? Thinking up big words is totally harder than thinking up small ones!!
