You got Jerome K. Jerome! But not the title...although I'm sure you realize the mistake. I thought that was going to be more of a head scatcher. My father actually read that to me as a bedtime story when I was little, it was one of the first books I remember actually laughing out loud to.

#3 sounds like bobby frost, but i don't have any of his books, just anthologies where he figures prominently, so i can't venture a stab at the title of the collection.
