So like Obi-Wan to try and blame himself for not seeing what was happening. Despite the fact that Anakin is right and he can't possibly save everyone from harm let alone themselves.

That's what I thought. Obi-Wan's first thought isn't even why someone like Bail didn't see the problem and do more to try to help her. It's why he didn't even suspect there was a problem so he could fix it. *Rolls eyes and sighs* There are days when I really hate the Jedi Code and what it's done to people like Obi-Wan . . .

I'm seriously beginning to think the Jedi code of teaching is the same as my mother's. Remove all self worth and replace with doubt and insecurities. Gawd knows it's easy enough for me to identify with Obi-Wan.

That Bail missed the signs is more serious since he was married to her. How Obi-Wan thought he should have seen the signs from another planet beats me and Anakin makes a good and strong point that Obi-Wan has to acknowledge thankfully.

Well, since that's essentially what the Code does - plus the fun bit of giving them all hero/messiah complexes to go with their inferiority complexes - you know what that means, don't you? That's right - your mom is a closet member of the Jedi High Council ( ... )

Shit don't tell her that or I'll have Yoda speaking to me next. She's nearly short enough. *sighs ( ... )

*Snickers and promises not to tell, since it's never nice to have to listen to Yoda waffle on in his weird little half backwards speaking pattern*

Pretty much. Actually, that was the plan. And hey - ! You're peeking into my head again, aren't you? *Lol!*

Well, I'd sure as heck think so. Not that you ever see any indication of things like this in either the canon or EU. Well. Unless you count piddling little things like nightmares and the occasional mention that so-and-so might be allowing the war or whatever to affect him/her/it just a wee bit too much for comfort's sake, that is. Which I really don't. The closest anyone ever really gets to seriously talking about such things probably is in the MedStar books, but it's just the docs and such who get to admit that they're getting burnt out from the endless horrors of the war, so . . . *Sighs and shrugs* Mace comes close to realizing just how badly the endless violence and trauma of the war is damaging the Jedi in Shatterpoint because he keeps getting it thrown up in his face (mostly ( ... )

*sighs in relief* thankyou. I get enough lectures on various aspects of my life without having to translate them as well, from being Goth to overweight etc......

*Ah...ooooops *backs out hastily*

URGh I know they used my husband as an example of how NOT to deal with anything right? He's of the idea if you don't acknowledge it therefor it hasn't happened and therefore isn't an issue so what's the problem. i get that feeling with GL's way of directing. look emotional without actually doing so sort of thing ( ... )

*Giggles* I don't blame you. I wouldn't want to get harped at in Yoda-speech ( ... )

Ooooh poop I responded to the next chapter having not read the rest of this one. I keep doing that dang it all.

Oh phew *sigh in relief* I'd hate to think I was giving away things by accidentally guessing them before they happen *blushes*

Sorry also I didn't reply yesterday after I said I would. Got ambushed by that time of the month and my brain had a complete meltdown on me b*dies*
I seem to be having a bad run at the moment and that retched fic still doesn't want to work *grinds teeth* LOL what's a crack fic?

I dunno how anyone could possibly write Obi-Wan and Anakin as emotionless characters. Both actors convey so much with their eyes that they've managed to circumvent GL's inability to direct emotional scenes. Natalie Portman did so too so why write them as emotionless droids? If that's what they do? I really need to start reading some EU books.

Well, as long as you weren't too lost by the continuation of Anakin's lecture. That might be a bit jarring, actually. The harshness of the lecture might make more sense, now . . .

Nah. I don't know that other people read the comments like this a lot. Besides, I'm not one of those writers who have fits over spoilers. I could tell people all kinds of things I've got planned for later in this WiP and for the sequels and it wouldn't bother me. I like interaction from readers. I wish more people would interact by commenting. *Sighs*

I don't blame you. I know what that's like. Stupid wretched time of the month. Nothing ever seems to work right during those days.
Crack!fic? Uh, it's like parody or just really really off the wall, out there, sort of good gods, that writer must've been on some REALLY good crack that day, to come up with crazy and insanely funny things like this kind of fanfic. They're usually short, funny as hell, absurd, and fluffy. Imagine a fic where Qui-Gon Jinn is secretly blond, calls Sidious "Darth Darling," and pouts ( ... )

LOl I was reading Anakin's rant thinking 'where the fuck did this come from?' then realised I'd forgot to read the end of the last chapter.......again so I came back here read this and went 'Ooooooh now I get it' *head desk*

I find it not comforting but an encouragement if that makes sense when people say what they think of the fan fic. Otherwise how do you know if it's ok or you're not talking out your arse and it's not making sense to anyone but you sort of thing

*blinks* Right that book list. Must remember to stalk ebay for books. Ok what books in your opinion should I read? Bearing in mind I'm mostly interested in Anakin and Obi-Wan and more importantly which ones should I not read?

I'm guessing anything by Jude Watson should be avoided?

As long as it makes sense now! If it still doesn't make sense, I need to do some editing!

*Sighs* I know. I won't ever stop writing because of lack of feedback, but it would be easier to write with more feedback, if that makes sense . . .

*Snickers* Uhm . . . Rogue Planet and Labyrinth of Evil aren't bad. The first one explains a lot about how those two think (or don't think, as it happens). And even though the "We could do away with RotS now and have this for the rest of our lives if you just do THIS here, instead!" moments of the second, while a bit infuriating, are also kind of encouraging, in a way, because you can see how RotS really could have conceivably been avoided. LoE also is responsible for my WiP. I kid you not. The WiP would not exist if I had not received a copy of LoE and read it all in what amounted to a mad dash ( ... )
