Star Wars work in progress You Became to Me

Oct 15, 2005 00:30

Twenty-eighth part of a work in progress
Title: You Became to Me (as suggested by avari_maethor)
*Pairing: Mainly Anakin/Obi-Wan with some mention of Padmé
Rating: Fairly PG-13ish now, but inevitably at least an R (?)
Disclaimer: I do not own the lovely boys from Star Wars, more's the pity! What I do have is an extremely contrary muse that refuses to shut up ( Read more... )

surrender!, so uncivilized!, do or do not. there is no try., . . . not this crude matter., good! twice the pride double the fall!, your thoughts betray you . . ., this war represents a failure to listen, ...there are alternatives to fighting..., there's a great disturbance in the force, don't make me kill you, never tell me the odds!, . . . luminous beings are we . . ., trust me!, always two there are . . ., why doesn't anyone listen to me?!, sith lords are our speciality, don't underestimate the force.

Wow! What a climax! But isn't this the end? It sounds like the end... I wonder where it can go from here. I'll be interested to find out!

Still don't quite understand the reasoning behind the Force-created Makeovers, though.

Oh, it's not the end. Not by a long shot. It's just pretty darn close to as far as I've gotten on typing this so far, is all. So now you'll have to start waiting for me to get more of this typed, unfortunately.

Oh, and this part's been changed since you read this. There's a different part in front of the section where Obi-Wan's remembering how Bail's appearance has only ever changed sufficiently twice in all the time he's known him for it to really register on him. I think I just sent you a response to another of your comments where I said things were going to get complicated soon and Obi-Wan and Anakin's love was going to be challenged from an unexpected quarter. Well, guess what? It's another royal/politician. And the loss of Padme and her twins is also going to be suddenly sinking in . . .

Ow! Ow!... sry had a tangle in my hair... ^_~

Wow! You know there's nothing more than I love but checking the communities and finding a long long chapter to read! Totally made my christmas!

Awesome chapter... I really loved the stones thing. It made me smile.

*Grins* I'm glad you liked it! I thought the stones were kind of a fitting touch, especially since I wanted Anakin to have given something to Obi-Wan and to Qui-Gon (instead of just the gift of the little carved japor snippet to Padme). The story's been driving me a bit nutty lately -- I keep backtracking and adding things in instead of working on adding to what I've gotten written up to. There's a preface and a prequel and all kinds new little mini-scenes in the first half dozen chapters or so up now. *Rolls eyes at self* The way I'm going, I'll finally get off of chapter thirty not because I finally get the scene with Bail finished but because I'll have had this wonderful idea to make Dooku and Qui-Gon have a discussion before they turn up in the common room, or something . . . *Sighs at crazy backwards muse*

Lol! Well at least I am not the only one! My stories are going a lot like that now... only the scenes I am coming up with are for the original stories my co-author(s) and I are writing... not the ones people are actually reading. -le sigh-

*Grins and offers sympathetic shoulder to lean on* Aren't the vagueries of muses often just frustrating as Hades? Sometimes I think my muse is off somewhere deliberately sniggering at me, conspiring with random plot bunnies and/or plot hiccoughs to see just how nuts I can made to feel in between those bouts of inspiration . . .
