Of course he finds her weapons' skills hot. (I bet it's mutual. *g*)

He may not be ready to say the words (and if anyone understands that Buffy would, I think) but that he wants to hold her while they sleep and is 'Just happy she's safe' says enough.

Buffy/Steve might still hold first place in Buffy/Avengers romance pairings but this is my favourite Buffy/Clint and I'd gladly read more should you ever be inspired. *mwah*

My first instinct when you sent me those songs was to use Buffy as the one not ready, but then decided I've done that too much. (although really those songs are so her to a tee) And I tossed around what pairing to use for a while. I'm gonna be a little honest. I kinda chose Clint cause I've been thinking about hooking him up with Buffy in that Coulson series, but Ava keeps telling me to keep all relationships platonic in it. ;)

I'm sure I'll hook these two up again at some point. :d

My thought was that not only were both songs perfect Buffy songs but they really fit most every guy I like paired with her - particularly crossover pairings. They're all, at the very least, a bit gun shy.

My first thought when I was commenting is that I could see this taking place in some version of the Coulson series depending on how it went. (Of course, I could also see it leading to Buffy/Steve - far in the future. Except that version makes me see Clint having come to see Buffy as a not quite sister and being rather overprotective. He struck me as that type.)

However, platonic works for now since Buffy has to get to the point that she wants to join the merry band of costumed heroes... and she and Phil have to continue adopting each other. ;p (Which is my favourite part, really.)

You're right, those songs really do fit just about any guys that I typically pair her up with. lol I really do have a soft spot for the slightly broken but still fighting ones. :)

That whole adopting thing is why Ava is fighting to keep this platonic. That we're usually so busy pairing her up, we sometimes forget to give her some solid friendships as well. I'm just kind of letting the series do what it wants. :D
