So much love for Phil and Buffy in this. Their easy camaraderie, regardless of the seriousness of the situation (or perhaps in spit of) was a welcome change from the usual fair. I liked that it ended with a hopefulness and yay for the team finding out of his return.

Except Thor. He's already back on Asgard and unless Heimdall is watching there's no way for him to know and he likes Coulson. Poor fella.

I enjoyed it the first time through but it makes far more sense now that I've finally watched the movie.(Especially the line about 'The Initiative' which is confusing without the movie. *g*)

Now I'm off to reread the rest of your Buffy meets the Avengers fic because context is good. (I did come away more in love with Steve - and thus wanting Buffy/Steve fic. Luckily I know where to find some...)

lol, yeah, sometimes I confuse myself when writing 'Initiative' in this series. :D And the first time I had seen Avengers I had only seen the Iron Man movies, not the other two. The second time I saw it I had watched Captain America and Thor so there were scenes that suddenly made more sense :D

And I've still got Buffy/Steve rolling around in my head, although I think this upcoming weeks prompt with be more Buffy/Bones. :D
