Needless to say, where the tract leads is beside the point ... the fact that Islam is BOGUS does not make Christianity any less BOGUS ... they are BOTH cynical scams for control of humanity!

So is Atheism. So is Agnosticism. So are all cultural institutions. They are all Life's ways of tricking us into perpetuating Life and taking it to the stars. Life is conspiring against us all! -- If you think I'm kidding, think about this: 99.999% of what we really are, as opposed to what we deceive ourselves into believing we are, the great dark continent of the Unconscious, is are genetic ancestry and our genes, genotype using phenotype to get where it wants to go. Nothing we do is anything more than skin conforming to the changes in shape of the body, or the rubber of a balloon conforming to the pressure of the air within it. I don't care what anyone's religion is, it is just one more manifestation of Life's Will, even a total disbelief in evolution or in God by whatever name. Ask any biologist -- off the record, of course. The only way you have of getting out of it is by disbelieving in Life -- but as that entails eating the barrel of a gun, it isn't a very good one. All your reactions, all my reactions, all anyone's ( ... )

Any belief -- any belief at all, even simply that the Sun will come up tomorrow -- is religion. If you would reject religion, then studiously avoid believing -- or, for that matter, believing in -- anything at all. (If what you reject is the right of people to feel joy, wonder, and awe, to have a sense of purpose and have their lives invested with meaning, then never do any of those things yourself -- for these are religion, its very essence. Now, I can't imagine wanting to live that way -- I would eat the barrel of a gun, in damned short order, to end the hellish agony of such an existence -- but if that is what you want, you have the right to do so, as long as you remember the essential text of Crowley's Liber 771. Man has the right to live by his own law ( ... )
