Yes, it is. People don't even think any more -- if they did, they'd see how fallacious the idea of banning guns to prevent violent crime really is. You watch: one of these days, they'll try to ban knives and other sharp-edged tools, even those necessary for creating useful things. And maybe cars -- after all, Mr. Rodger ran down several people with his car during his rampage. And maybe cliffs -- a few days before his rampage, he went to a party at a place right next to the cliffs above Goleta Beach, and tried to push several girls off the cliff. The thing is, while most of these movements would never succeed, for obvious reasons, I do believd that people like that distraught father -- not to mention lots of politicians -- would really try to get such things banned "to prevent violence."
