In my mind, I see those self-ntitled, narcissistic morons egging one another on, trying to encourage one another to cherish their hate and then act on it. Social media have a downside, and this is it: people encouraging one another to do self-destructive and/or murderous things. It's like the "pro-ana" websites and chat rooms, which provide a forum for disturbed girls and women to talk one another into literally starving themselves to death. In the case of the "pro-ana" sites, the actions being encouraged are self-destructive; in the case of the site where Elliot Rodger hung out, the actions under consideration are murderous. In both cases, though, you have people all with the same unhealthy preoccupation gathering with others like themselves in a sort of emotional circle-jerk in the hope that group support will give them what it takes for them to carry through on their obsession. At least the "pro-ana" sites don't encourage murder. This one, however, encourages an emotional state that is utterly narcissistic, megalomanic, and
