Whom are they envisioning as the "rebels," and why? Mere high inflation rates do not seem likely to produce mass rebellion. And if Obama tries to cancel the 2012 elections, is the Lightworker actually foolish enough to believe that the US Armed Forces would necessarily or even probably support him in such a naked and unpopular attempt to seize dictatorial power?
The story reeks of fish. As you point out, it isn't the most plausible story in the world. Assuming that the teller wasn't deliberately lying (in which case we must ask to what end), where did he get his information, and what were their motives for providing it to him? Are they trying to panic conservatives (I got this from a conservative newsletter), or what?
This is possible, if not entirely likely. I think they are predicting a currency collapse? With our national debt it is actually possible. But, well, let's hope not

If it were true, you have to ask, how did the informant get away with giving out that intelligence? It's fishy, and what you say about Barnhardt probably explains why. It does sound like a brilliant paranoiac's fantasy. Currency collapse could happen, as you say, but the rest of it doesn't quite jibe with reality.
