I just watched Disc 1, Part 1 of Band of Brothers. The series focuses on the experiences of "Easy Company", 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment assigned to the 101st Airborne Division of the United States Army. The series covers Easy's basic training at Camp Toccoa, Georgia, the American airborne landings in Normandy, Operation Market

It's worth seeing -- so much so that as broke as I am, I'm thinking of buying it. :-)

I would highly recommend buying it if you can, it's worth watching several times to really get to know all the characters.

No way I can buy it at this time. I am broker than broke, and have a cat to support, as well. But the library has several copies, and I can keep rotating on the Hold list until I've seen it all. Maybe someday. {sigh}
