Ugh. I refuse to go on a "diet". I choose to make nutritious food choices, and that's how I'm teaching my daughter.

If people would just ease up on the carbs and dairy, that would be half the battle, right there.

I agree whole-heartedly. Another part of the battle is to get more exercise -- not the sort you get working out in the gym, but real exercise, such as mowing the lawn with an old-fashioned manual lawn-mower, not one of the powered kind. Take the dog for a walk, walk as much as possible, ride a bicycle to the store, not your car, etc. etc. etc. But always it had damned well better be up to individuals to decide how they live, what they ate, and all the rest of it -- the President's job is to make decisions that only chief executives can make, and act as commander-in-chief of our armed forces. He and his wife have no damned business trying to climb into our skulls and take over our minds this way.
