My mom had a lot of her books when I was still at home... She is OBSESSED with "satanic ritual abuse". Nutcase, nutcase nutcase.

Apparently Ms. Rule concentrates on ritual abuse to the extent she does because her readers are obsessed with it. She makes her income selling as many of her books as possible, and so she focuses on things that her audience are fascinated by. You could say she's obsessed with making money from her fans to the point that she doesn't care if she slips over the edge into libel, slander, defamation of character, or worse things -- after all, it's just her way of making a living. Which is absolutely disgusting.
