Use the utility/ASW helicopters carried by most modern warships. Most are designed to be able to launch small air-to-surface missiles, most have hardpoints allowing machineguns to be fitted. A "swarm of small, fast attackers" will have no anti-aircraft capability of which to speak. Easy meat.

mauser provided the Aegis Combat System, something his father worked on. But an air strike sounds good, too.
