Yet one more reason to cut Florida off of the US and set it adrift. I think it would make a lovely penal colony, don't you?

It wouldn't eliminate the potential for an epidemic of dengue fever, unfortunately. The mosquitoes that carry it are coming up from the south, from South America and Central America and Mexico, and are already appearing in several other states. There are things that can be done to avoid catching it or, at least, recognize the symptoms in time to get it cured. Which is why I posted this.
