For one, We taxpayers get NO SAY in contracts... but we are the "employers". Two, I'm a private union member (UFCW), and I can only DREAM of the perks that the public union get... Sick days, I wish!!! "Paid Administrative Leave", DOUBLY wish!!! I also wish I was able to be as nasty as government workers, or even 1/4 as lazy! They followed a rec&parks guy around for a day... He sat in his city car talking on his cell phone, and/or playing games on his government-issued laptop... Out of 56 hours, the man did ONE HOUR of work, writing a report. He was SUPPOSED to be doing maintenance, like mowing, cleaning graffiti, etc.... "paid administrative leave" pending investigation.... Yeah right. And don't EVEN get me started on the teachers. Growing up, I went to Catholic schools. I send my kids to public. Most are OK. But some.... some are totally incompetent whackadoodles. Others are just flat-out prejudiced. AND WE CAN'T GET RID OF THEM!!!!!! Here in ohio, they are trying to separate the police and firefighters from the rest, which I think ( ... )
