I understand there's a similar site in the Greenland ice cap somewhere. Hopefully that will still be around, though it may be iffy depending on how bad global warming gets.

As for hungry people raiding a remote island, while that is possible, it will probably be more practical to steal the neighboring tribe's Cheerios.

If the neighboring tribe is also fresh out of Cheerios, raiding their non-existent stash won't feed them. They'd have to look anywhere they might have a chance to find food, even legendary islands the cultural memory of which is rapidly fading, along with what's left of civilization.
