I've been working on and off for hours filling out various parts of Section 4 of Part 2 of Lesson III of the course notes for my Qaballah and Tarot course. Over a period of about two hours, I carefully, painstakingly filled in footnote after footnote having to do with the Great Old Ones of Lovecraft's Mythos universe, several single-spaced pages ( Read more... )

"Mercury goes retrograde tomorrow."

Well, that explains the migraine that's been slowly creeping up on me since Monday.

How long do I need to hide before it's over? The back of my walk in closet is looking really inviting right about now.

There should be options to turn off automatic formatting. Or if you don't want to turn it off and it becomes annoying, you could type:
-- --
...and erase the space, then copy/paste as needed. It's a pain, but still...

I need the automatic formatting. I just really don't need Word to decide to get creative about it. :-[=[ Hey, was that Bill Gates I just saw walk by here? Where's my baseball bat, guys?

An easier way is to make sure there are about five consecutive blank lines, type "--- . . ." all the way out to the right-hand margin, then NOT hit ENTER, just lift the mouse and gently place it a line or two below the line of dashes, and start writing again. Ordinarily, I do hit ENTER to get that nice long solid line marking a sidebar boundary, but when Word screws up like it did last night, maybe I should go with the dashes. {grrrrrr}
