I subscribe to a National Geographic newsletter. They have lots of links like this one, and virtually every page they link has more links to articles like this.

I always thought National Geographic was completely boring too... lol

The online version packs in lots of features that the hard-copy version can't. Like these galleries of wonderful photos and information. :-)
