They've been trying to get 'rocket racing' off the ground for 4 or 5 years at least now. It's really not 'rocket racing' it's just racing bertan EZ longs with a rocket motor in the back instead of a prop.

To be honest I'm surprised it's still going forward, last year at Reno they had pretty much said it was dead.

Well, it looks exciting, which means there is interest in it by tourists and visitors, which means lots of folding green to be had by those who stage these events, which means . . . :-)
