Yeah, file this one under "No S#1t, Sheerluck!" (As in, "Sheer luck you found that acorn, Blind Squirrel.") Whatever happened to "All the news that's fit to print"? These days, it seems to be closer to "All the news that fits our print."
And I see that as a problem. The media are (ideally) supposed to be our conduits for acquiring information. If they're biased, they are compromised... and thus, not reliable. They are especially not reliable if the bias is concealed... as it almost always is. Large contributions, by contrast, at least make no pretense of being unbiased - that bias, after all, is the whole point.
The reason I posted this was so that people who really aren't aware just how biased the mainstream media are will get a better idea of it and, perhaps, check it out. I realize that's a forlorn hope, but one must try.
