I am hardly the first, nor will I be the last, to complain about the general lack of reliable chronology in the Sherlock Holmes canon. I know this. I knew it when I began writing in the fandom. *deep breath*

Mwahaha, fear not! While the Klinger annotateds are indeed wildly overpriced, he has his chronology online here. There's another by a Mr. Frankland available here. There's another from Sherlock Peoria here. Baring-Gould's is here. If you can't make something fit in at least one of those, then I'd worry. If not, then you're good :)

Thank you so much! Those links are lovely, and very helpful. It does, unfortunately, put a crimp in my BOSC fic plans. Ah, well. Some filler fic will be needed, I think. But that's alright. Holmes is being....playful in my head, so I don't think anyone will complain about some filler. Not even Lestrade, despite his misgivings about having his own handcuffs turned against him.
