Aww, I love the tribute tied to it. I did something similar when I had a shiny Rattata giveaway as a tribute to my rat, Axel, who passed away and gave them the same naming scheme.

I have a bad habit of naming Pokemon after my pets, so the idea kind of came from that. Good to know I'm not the only one who does things like that, though.
