Things in LJ!Rp have quiet lately and I don't know how many people around here are left, but... maybe we can try spicying things up with a cracky meme?
((OOC: I don't think we have subject lines here? ELSE I TOTALLY APPROVE THIS MEME IS BEAUTIFUL AND RIDICULOUS LET'S GET DRUNK EVERYONE. Also 1/2))
I've never...
[ Pause pause what do we say. He's never done a lot of things! Like see Ho-Oh. Or get chosen by Ho-Oh. Or fly with Ho-Oh. Or- well, you get my point. Might as well talk about LEGENDARIES or HO-OH or-]
Misdreavus frightens people with a creepy, sobbing cry. The Pokémon apparently uses its red spheres to absorb the fearful feelings of foes and turn them into nutrition. It likes playing mischievous tricks such as screaming and wailing to startle people at night. It loves to bite and yank people's hair from behind without warning, just to see their shocked reactions. It gets nourishment from fear that it absorbs into its red orbs. In daytime, it sleeps in darkness.
[ ... Oh wow, that dex thing is really useful. Why doesn't Ecruteak have a weird pokeprofessor who'd give those away to kids? His life would be SO different if there was one. Not, because guess who's not really excited by travelling. 8V ]
... Hey, not all Misdreavus are like that. Well, the wild ones are, I guess.
[Sort-of-petting his Misdreavus. He's a pretty nice 'mon.
[ Are you going to pet us, cap guy. WE ARE VERY OKAY WITH THIS YES except well, it might feel a tiny bit weird because ghosts aren't completely material. But you probably don't mind anyway, so. Only petting now. ]
[ But it's... the tradition or something? Besides, what if he just happens to like ghosts a lot.
Also watch him become a gym leader without ever getting a new pokemon in his team.
And YES HE KNOWS RIGHT, his Misdreavus is the cutest Misdreavus. The most badass, as well. ]
... N-not really, actually. I don't know anyone I could battle with.
[ And going outside to find someone to battle with is overrated. There should be a battle opponent delivery service or something for reclusive derps like him. ]
[ ... Red are you. Serious. Because 1) he comes from the city where traditions and history are pretty much everything (and now you're telling him to fuck tradition. RUDE, RED, RUDE) and 2) he can't look at Green because in his timeline Green is either not born yet or a a few years old baby. Mun isn't sure because time shenanigans are very, very confusing OTL
A-AND SHEESH YOU'RE TAKING IT SO WRONG he doesn't want Ho-Oh to JOIN him, he just... wants to see it... someday...
[ And that excitement quickly changes to a mix of little sadness and... disappointment? You've seen legendaries, dude, you're probably going to beat him without even actually trying. Besides, the fact that he's never had any battle experience is also a big disadvantage of his, because while he likes to think of himself as a pretty good strategist, he really doesn't know how he's going to act in a real battle.
[ Well, he doesn't really mind it if other people decide to fuck tradition, just as long as they're not being too rude about it. And don't try to get him involved, too. Twentyyyyyy... I don't even know, five or six maybe. Okay, maybe Green is born already, but he's still two or so years old.
He scratches the back of his head awkwardly. Mannnn he really wants to battle with someone, but on the other hand... ]
... I'm... not sure if I'll be good enough an opponent.
[ YOUNG PEOPLE THESE DAYS, HE SWEARS. Lern2respect others, guise! I doubt he's old enough to screw the rules yet, though. He's probably still a derpy adorable baby, or something. Baby Green.
A pretty sucky one, probably. OTL Though at least he's a pretty fast learner! So you wouldn't have troubles with him for long, Red. No really, I still am perplexed by how can one become a gym leader while being reclusive enough not to go out to train, having only two pokemon, and the only person he could ever battle with being his best friend who is away for months at a time. Morty, you make no sense sometimes.
