It's meant to be more of the present-day, but basically that.

Hm, perhaps! And, yeah, they'd have a few of them -- and not just the common Porygon. (it's odd to be saying that!) I bet Red'd get a Magikarp and raise it up, and then take them down. /adds to planning document

I see Red as someone who'd typically go for the more peaceful and non-lethal methods, like martial arts and such. Then again I'm the same girl who sees him as a pop culture geek.

Anyway, you've got an awesome AU, Kururu! Good luck.

But I also don't see him being very psysically strong, so I think he'd still go for something which he could do with some kind of weapon -- but I suppose he could have some training in something.

Maybe he knows a little bit of martial arts, just enough to take down low-leveled Rocket Grunts with some effort on his part. Or he could be an Improbable Weapon User. Skateboards, anyone?

Well, he's gonna have a rare Kagikarp as his real partner, but I think that most trainers will be Improbable Weapons Users up against the villianous teams. Though Red's less impulsive then some, and maybe he ran up to Mt. Silver because he felt bad for attacking Gio. And then legends grew, because you can't speak ill of the disappeared, and he's only known as a great player of the game.

KIND OF POPPING IN HERE but what about Grimer and... trashbagmon(fuck I can't remember the name)? Regardless of whether they're directly manmade or not, I kind of get the feeling that they'd be immune to diseases by virtue of essentially being living piles of refuse.

Also re: Plasma-perhaps they could be working to protect the Pokemon that did survive?
