Green's Awesome Adventure 002 ~ Sunyshore City

Aug 03, 2009 00:18

So I went to the Sunyshore Market today and they had this big section about something for Pokeballs called Seals. One of the vendors demonstrated one and it spewed out tons of hearts.

What the heck? Not even the Lasses and Beauties back in Kanto touched these fruity things! What are you supposed to do with them, give your opponents seizures?

They're usually used for Super Contests. 'sides, hearts aren't the only seals there are. You can also get ones that emit fire effects or lightning bolts, among other things.

Super...Contest? Yeeeah, I'm definitely staying away from seals now.

You'd be surprised how much stuff that you use in contests can be used in battle. I know several Gym Leaders here and in Hoenn are also Coordinators, and I think the current Hoenn Champion's a Coordinator too.

Even a CHAMPION bothers with Contests? Sometimes I feel like Kanto's the only sensible place in the world.

I really don't get the things either. They're tacky and unnecessary.

Yeah geez, I'd rather the special effects saved for the movies and not put in front of my face during a battle.

At least they're well done in the movies. Seals don't even have the grace of looking realistic.

Hah, whatever! This region seems to indulge itself on needless distractions away from battling; I'm starting to have low expectations for the trainers around this place.

Sinnoh seems to specialize in useless things.

I'm glad somebody in this city has some sense about him.

Thanks for the warning, I'll have to remember not to shop anywhere outside a PokeMart.

As if I had high expectations for this place anyway heading here, this place doesn't hold a candle to Kanto.

People buy them, word spreads, more people buy them, profit is made. It's how business works.

It doesn't have to make sense.

Well I guess that explains the RageCandyBars selling like mad in Johto...

Absolutely. If something gets big, people want to make it on the profit. Even if in a while, the fad dies down, people want in now.

Adults are all so predictable.
