Check In!: The artist was not active, but the beta-reader was very active so I'm very happy. The fic is almost done so I'm happy, but I'm worried about the quality as it's the first time I write something this long in English. My schoolwork and mid-terms are closing in (October 5-20) so I'm kind of stressed here. Trying to finish at least the alpha version of the fic before September 30 so I can work on school in time.

Current word count: 37k ish. Probably gonna be pushing 40k by the time I'm done. I don't know how/why I wrote so much.
Check In!: I'M DONE I'M DONE I'M DONE. Well, with the first draft. Working on the second now. My beta reader is amazing, I can't believe how much happier I feel about the whole thing even though I still have a lot more to edit. I also can't believe how many headdesking errors I made, herp. I've had a small sort of sneak peak from my artist as well and that looks like it will be awesome~ The only thing I'm really worried about is how people are gonna react when it's posting time because um. Characters and emoting and stuff. Idek, I just worry a lot.

Check In!: It took me a while to really get into it, but now that I am, I think everything's flowing pretty nicely. At this rate, I should be done a couple of weeks or so before the deadline. I didn't have a beta until I posted onto the pinch-hit post, so I'm pretty relieved about that. The artist I'm working with is awesome as well, so I think everything's going well in the collaborative department. I'm a little worried that this piece is going to be too long (that word count only applies to the first chapter and the first half of the second) and dense, but I'm always a bit self-conscious about my work, so hopefully this is the case here. I love the idea behind it, really. I just hope I can carry it out in a way that does it justice.

Check In!: I think it's mostly done! First draft, at least. I'm working with a beta now, so I'm excited to get good editing rolling. More ideas might strike as I'm playing through the game again, so it could get longer, but as of now, I'm doing fine.
