contest 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it's LJ POKEMON COMMUNITY contest number FOUR...already at four of them!!! and i can't wait, because this theme was chosen from one of the ideas i collected in our last voting thread (but i forgot who, so comment and remind me and brag that you idea was picked!!).... are you ready?
THEME
let's face it... pokemon never have been and never will be in a seriously blockbusting film with an audience that is less than 50% children.. such a waste of talent, really. some pokemon should be stars... not just pikachu, but every pokemon with talent, and their trainers for that matter... was deoxys an evil sith lord in a previous role? was shinx king of all africa? was gengar almost ghostbusted? oh, i could go on with the puns, but instead, i leave it to you, pokemon community... so pick a scene from a movie, and implant the pokemon who deserved the role...
think THAT one over and DRAW IT!!
RULES
-you may use pokemon or PEOPLE! and by people i mean characters from the games or the movies, not your role playing character or you-as-a-pokemon-trainer (i know we love to do this, but other than us, nobody really cares... aha).
-if someone already did a scene from the movie you wanted to do? FINE! if someone did the exact SCENE you wanted to do? FINE! repeated scenes/ideas are fine, because two different people will have a different idea/pokemon/etc for the same scene. even if you pick the exact same scene with the exact same pokemon, the art will still be different, but...try to avoid this. and don't flat-out copy, we will know.
-this contest is similar to the last one in that your IDEA is more important than your drawing's BEAUTY (and this time i will put a reminder of this in the voting thread, too...) so keep that in mind and draw a photo, a comic, make something with clay, photo edit, trace (for those of us not as artistically inclined) but a trace only counts if you make it YOUR OWN ORIGINAL ART that relates to the THEME. (this drawing by arlana is a good example of a traced pokemon that was made into a good original artwork). even if you suck at art, if you have a good idea, just get it out there somehow!
-all NEW artwork drawn specifically for this contest (although i think for this one as well, nobody can use old artwork!)
-please post your art to the COMMUNITY and not as a reply to this thread (or do both). we want to enjoy your artwork before we vote!!
-if you do not include the tag "pokemovies" there is a small chance your drawing will miss the final check. i will do my best to save every entry as they come in to avoid this, but tag it anyway!! if you don't, i won't feel bad and send special prizes!
-if you dont understand the theme, well, ask here.
-like last time, sometimes there are weird issues sometimes about furries/anthro pokemon, well, this contest is NOT AN FURRY/ANTHRO POKEMON CONTEST, but if your idea would work better with an antro pokemon, go for it. however that is NOT the purpose!

we had 22 entries for POKEJOBS, 24 entries for LEGENDARY SUMMER and 12 entries for ELECTRIC SPRING. HOW WILL POKEMOVIES SHAPE UP?
