For all of you guys that are collecting UNOWN, and how there's 28 varieties, do any of you pick nicknames for them when you catch them? Like trying to guess what letter they are? I mistook a C for G, actually. XD ( Read more... )

Yeah; aitch, cue, kay, etc. I was doing it off the top of my head, though, so I probably got a few wrong.

I name them for their "Unown" name. Like Nuzzle, Quicken, Reassure..I don't remember the rest.

I think in the Gold/Silver versions, if you got the Unowndex (catch three or five different unown and show it to the scientists outside of the Alph ruins) and then caught an Unown, its info would be put into the Unowndex as well as the Pokedex. The Unowndex showed the Unown letter shape's "name".

So like, A is supposed to mean Angry, B is supposed to mean Bear, etc.

Check Wikipedia for more details. :P

i will do that. I didn't start playing until gen 3, so i missed that stuff. Actually, I only started playing because my nephew was so into it, and I wanted to learn a bit about it, so that i understood what he was talking about. Now I'm more hooked than he is.
