A question about the future Hoenn remakes

Jan 08, 2012 18:48

Okay, like others, I'm looking forward to the Hoenn remakes(regardless of Hoenn being my 3rd fav region.) And I'm just wondering, what do you guys they'll possibly do in the remakes? If you remember, there were 2 champions, Steven for Ruby and Sapphire, and Wallace for Emerald. What do you think they'll do with that, and other things?

hoenn, question

3rd gen remakes haven't been confirmed yet, but I sure hope they'll make them. :)

A double battle versus Wallace and Steven \o/!!!
xD
I think they will go like in Emerald, Wallace as the Champion and Steven like "The True Champion" in Meteor Falls... Oh I hope we will have the remakes D:

This would be really fun, actully! Though they both should only have 3 Pokemon each or it'll be 6 against 12?? Not really fair!

er.. they haven't even hinted at remakes, it's just the fandom going insane over an inane idea.. but if they remake them, i assume that the gym leader/elite four + champion will follow that of emerald version. i hope for better graphics (a given), plot sharpening and more areas to explore (both of which are unlikely because, well, it's hoenn, unless they pull another sevii island plotline). this is why i'm ultimately against remakes: what do we gain from them besides spending another $40, sharper graphics, and the ability to catch all 649 pokemon after completing the main storyline? -_-

I'm more inclined to think there's a very good chance of Ruby/Sapphire remakes sometime in the future not because of anything in the existing games, but because of some of the loose ends left from Pokemon Special that could only be solved with a sequel arc to RSE. But that's just me, I suppose

I would love 3DS remakes of RSE, personally, partially for the nostalgia value and partially to see what they could do with the new technology (and how they'd fiddle with the storyline to fit). There's a lot of creative things they could do with them, plenty of which are only known to the designers themselves, I think ( ... )

People who loved third gen will be exited over it, like folks that liked second gen were excited about the HG/SS remake.

I did not like third gen nearly as well as any of the others, but I'd welcome a remake because they could probably touch up the flaws those games had and add some nice new features. (Plus, I'd like an excuse to use my Pokewalker again...)

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to a third generation remake. :D I hope they make one.

I'm guessing Wallace would be the champion.

Although I didn't enjoy SS as much as I had originally hoped I would, considering how big an impact Silver had on me growing up, I still without a doubt will buy the Hoenn remake when it comes out. It doesn't matter that the games haven't been confirmed yet, we all know it will be made sooner or later. :P ( ... )
