Sort of embarrassing question...

Is anyone else not so great at some of the Dream World minigames? I feel stupid admitting it, because they're obviously made to be simple, but sometimes I fail at them. For example tonight it took me three tries to do the Sky Race, and when I did finally reach the goal it was with literally one second remaining. And the other night I failed at ( Read more... )

I've finally gotten the hang of the Sky Race and Pokemon Search. Wailord game...I used to love it, but those poor Pokemon and that slow whale. D: The ice cream game drives me nuts.

How do you check your Dream Point count, by the way? I want access to different places and Pokemon and berries!

I was wondering the same thing, about the Dream Points. I'm not sure.

Your Dream Points are shown on your profile, on the Pokemon Dream World tab, just under the picture of your island. It's not always there, though - I don't think it shows up if your Pokemon's asleep or only just woken up.

Thanks! And you earn them just by hanging out in the Dream World/winning games, right?

It took me over four hours to get the Eeveelution, and I'm surprised I managed at all. I think it was only my vague memories of playing Breakout as a kid that saved me on that one.

I'm hideously terrible at the Sky Race - like, I didn't even get halfway through the first time I tried it, to be honest. :| But I've been bad at every kind of "racing" game I've ever tried, so. And I only found the Finneon I was looking for with my Ponyta friend (although that Ponyta shouldn't really have been looking for something underwater anyway but lol) with 9 seconds left.

Yeah, racing games have never been my thing either.

Yesterday I found Bonsly (mostly by clicking at random) and had something like two or three seconds left. I think that was when I got a Mareep though, so that was pretty cool.

The sky race is actually the easiest one for me, but I'll have to agree with you on the ice cream one. The very first time I played that one, I failed miserably. Now I can usually get it, but sometimes, I'll put a final scoop on top right as the timer goes out, and it'll slooooowly tumble off the pile and knock ALL the others off, leaving me screaming "no no no NO NOOOOOOO!" Then I usually lose.

The wailord one is pretty easy to win at, but it moves so SLOWLY! And let's see, the one where you have to search for the missing pokemon, I usually get lucky and find the item, but if I do find the pokemon, it's with about 10-30 seconds remaining.

For some reason the first time I did the ice cream it worked fine, but now I can't get one scoop to stay on top of another. But I've had some good tips in this post about all the games, including that one, so I'm glad I made it.

So I've only played the Dream World on the Japanese games (and that severely impairs playing instructions) and now I feel silly.

For the missing pokemon game I just click on every cloud in every area like a mad man. Yet, I've never lost...

I mean, it just doesn't stop the timer during the animation and time the pokemon come out.

I'm pretty decent at finding the missing pokemon myself.

But if I were playing it in Japanese I wouldn't have the slightest idea what was going on... XD
