Most memorable for me is kanto, my first game was red and I played the crap out of yellow too. least memorable is johto because I didn't play the originals at all, only Soul Silver and I could not bask in any of my lovely friends nostalgia with them (because after the first 151 i was like aw hell no theres too many! as a kid) Most favorite is sinnoh cause its amazing. yes, sinnoh is amazing
least favorite is..j-ohto..*cringes away from being destroyed* but really I dont hate any pokemon game (except hey you pikachu and trozei and crap..) so when I say 'least' favorite its not particularly an insult..
Most memorable is Kanto. I played Red, Blue, and Yellow (and Pokemon Stadium) for years and years.
Least memorable is definitely Hoenn - I literally forgot that I had played one of the Gen III games at least a half-dozen times until my roommate pointed out that the ash (Which for some reason I love, idgi either) was in Gen III. Lol.
Kanto is the 'classic' gen, so when most people think of Pokemon, it's what they drift to, I think. Pikachu, Charmander, Bulbasaur, Squirtle... and the characters, too. When we think of Ash, most people think of the blue vest and jeans, the hat, Misty and Brock. It's sort of the 'default', if you will.
Hoenn is definitely the most overlooked, for good reasons. I love it to death (it's my favorite), but it had some of the least memorable critters, a terrible layout (so... much... surfing...), and it didn't make nearly as many leaps and bounds as Johto did. It added very very little to the games' dynamic, besides the introduction of contests. Which... no one really likes anyway.
I have no idea if I'm excited for B/W anymore. I've been very vocal about my dislike for some of the new Pokemon and some game changes, but the reason I've been keeping up with info is because I've been hoping to have my mind changed. Now, there's a handful of critters I'm excited for (Shandera!<3), but I didn't really enjoy the gameplay of the last two games
( ... )
Kanto is most memorable; I know every little detail about that game. For least memorable I put Sinnoh, but only because I've only played it once, in 2007. I am unable to play it again because it is my main game and can't be restarted. So I've forgotten most of the storyline and all of the gym leaders. I do, however, know the Elite 4 extremely well. Sinnoh is actually my favorite game, though, so IDK.
I would say Johto for most memorable, because that's when I was really into Pokemon. I played Gold like crazy and it was the first game I really put time into.
Hoenn would be least for me, because when it came out I wasn't into Pokemon all that much and didn't even buy the game.
