Those are cute and really well done! Though if you do more in the future/someone else takes this idea, it might help to cover the screen and areas you don't want colored with something like painter's tape so you can just peel it off when you're done and not worry about the edges, :D

Yes, that's what I did, I used masking tape. It worked very well. The messy edges happened because of a slight tug of the still-slightly-wet nail polish as I was peeling off the tape. Some small level of displacement was inevitable for varnish that thick.

Seconding the specific recommendation of painter's tape. We use it on the decorative foil-covered boards at my bakery and they don't do any damage. <3

I just ended up with some nailpolish no-one wanted yesterday, now I have something to do with it :) Not sure what ball I'll try, maybe heal or cherish as they are my fav.
