I based my ideas off of the stories in the games, some of the legends found in the Canalave library, the depiction of God's creation of the world in Muslim, Jewish and Christian mythology, and on the jumbled whirlwind rainbow mishmash in my head

well, according to canon, Ho-oh had something to do with the destruction of Poke'lantis, because the Evil King tried to capture Ho-oh. so Ho-oh probably got pissed and destroyed it. but how the Evil King wound up in a modern-day pokeball sitting haphazardly on a throne is anyone's guess ... )
Hmm, I like your Poké-Greek theory a lot. It SORTA coincides with my own ideas.
As for the Ho-Oh and Atlantis thing...where was that mentioned? In game or in the anime? I've been in the dark for a number of years and I'm trying to learn all I can since GSC. I've played through Platinum and HG/SS, so those legends I know pretty well.
I still like coming up with my own theories though, outside of canon (usually for fic and art purposes. just makes things interesting). That's what this whole post was really about, cause I'm sure people had other ideas before the movies and later games came along.
I remember Pokémonopolis. It was in that one episode with some ruins and these ancient huge Kadabra and Gengar. I don't remember how they fit into anything at all though. I think it was an odd precursor to the Ruins of Alph. Or at least, that's how it seemed to me in retrospect. Oo;;
anime. the Evil King of Poke'lantis tried to capture Ho-oh, and the island was then destroyed. cut to a thousand years later and the Evil King possesses Satoshi making for the best episode ever.
and my ideas are flexible, because sometimes I'll see someone's idea that I like and think should be canon, or canon does something which goes against head-canon, so I have to incorporate the new info...
OOOOHHH, THAT'S where all the evil Ash stuff comes from. Ok. (not including the new movie evil ash right now).
Hahaha, I see. Well, if it's canon, but I just don't like, i like to come with my own explanations. If I like it, I like to do a mix match that incorporates something else from our own, but later ties in with the legends and myths from the games/show. ^^;
Besides, where's the fun if we don't have our own ideas outside of canon?
Mama Mew--the Mama--is the Mama Goddess of all. She watches all her children in all aspects of life and death, She can be anyone, anywhere, and in any form she chooses with her Sky-Blue Eyes that hold the Stars in her eyes. And even the motherless children have one Mama, and there is no other mama greater than our Mama

The Regis--Regirock, Registeel and Regice--are the Golems of the Gods. They have no gender. The three shaped the earth under the guidance of Lord Regigigas

Mew would be Adam, the first Pokemon, from which all other Pokemon come from.
That would make Mewtwo Eve, being made from Adam. Eve also can represent original sin. Mewtwo = original sin?
Would that make mankind the Pokemon God? Huh.
