It took me about 15 minutes. I got lucky I guess? Just move from "block to block" and fish everywhere. Eventually you WILL run into it. It just takes a lot of patience. At least you have a nice reward for training that ugly thing. And once you found it you know it will ALWAYS be in the same spot (unless you go and change the "trendy" sentence).
Those events are either in Japan or in New York at Nintendo World. If you can't go to either of those places then you're out of luck. Personally that's why I bought an ActionReplay. I'm a HUGE Myuu fan and I wasn't going to fly all the way to Japan or New York to have a pixelated videogame sprite. c_C; It's kinda lame that they did that. Not to mention that I play by myself so it's not like I could ever trade to anyone. When it comes to things like this I have no problems with using an ActionReplay. It's that or I'll never get Myuu so yea.
oh, i totally agree about the action replay. in a way, it's cool that nintendo keep a select few pokémon that really are rare - it makes it all the more special if you do make the effort to go to one of those events - but it's hardly fair if gamers have to be in either new york or japan to even have the possibility of finding them. but as i say, i think diamond & pearl should even the playing field assuming they're online.
i'll keep trying for feebas, i guess. you didn't fish three or more times on each spot and move along in a grid, then? just random fishing?
Yea exactly. They can't expect everyone to live around those places. :/ I know I'm not going to fly to NY or Japan just to get a little sprite. I'd rather buy an AR and do it myself. It ends up being the same thing (I have my little Myuu sprite in my game cartridge). Since I play by myself it's not like I'm gonna go around challenging other people or bragging about it.
And oh, I obviously fished 4~5 times before moving on to another spot. ^^; Because it's not 100% chances of fishing out Hinbass(Feebas) on your first try. But after 5 times if you don't have it it's most likely safe to move on.
Eheh, I got lucky. After fishing half the river and giving up, I went to check the berry patch on the other side of the railing near the top...and then, out of curiosity, I decided to fish the spot at the very center of the top of the highest up waterfall. First time casting into the water, I hooked a Feebas.
I caught a male and a female, just to make sure I wouldn't have to do it again.
Me and my brother both sat down one day to catch Feebas. We just fished in each square 5 times and then moved to the next. He ended up catching one first. Once you find the square, keep catching more; they'll shop up in the same square over and over. He got about 5 and gave me one and I breeded and now I have Feebases galore. I have no idea what I'm going to do with them all
