This was inspired by one of the more irritating traits I've discovered in Soul Silver at least (can't remember if it was this bad in Heart Gold) - if you could go back in time and remove one thing from Pokemon as a whole (one Pokemon, one move, one stat, one city, anything at all), what would it be?
For me, the answer is only two words long: CAN'T. ESCAPE. I always got the reasons for it before, upping the tension and all that, but it's ridic in SS. If my Pokemon is ten levels higher than this freakin' MAGIKARP, YES, I CAN ESCAPE FROM IT. What, am I being swarmed by hundreds of splashing level 10 Magikarp? While fishing from the shore? I think not. It seems like you can't get away from anything in this game, and it drives me bonkers.
