Hi, I'm new here and I really love Pokemon. Can someone tell me where I can get Mew (or if I can) on my Emerald Version? I also have the Fire Red version and Ruby.

questions, question, game: ruby/sapphire/emerald, generation 3, mew

Mew can be found on World's Edge Island. However, you need the Old Sea Scroll (or an Action Replay) to get there. So until the Nintendo Event that hands out the Old Sea Scroll comes out, Mew is unobtainable unless you use the AR.

Personally, I'd just hack it if you have your heart set on getting a Mew. I don't know when they plan to release it, and when they finally do, you need to go to NYC to get the silly ticket. Action Replays are cheaper than a plane ticket.

(I don't usually condone cheating devices, but this is a special case)

Ok. Thanks. I guess that is the only way to get Celebi too, huh (which I really have my heart set on getting). I mean with the Action Replay.

What is an Action Replay? And how do you hack it? Just curious.

I want to go to a nintendo event! Lousy living in Australia. One better come here.

An Action Replay is a cheating device and that is pretty much all I
know. I was going to get my friend to help me because he has one. I don't really know how to hack it :(. Sorry! I can't really go to Nintendo events either. I live in Alabama, which is really far from New York.

However if you use an ActionReplay on FireRed Myuu will NOT obey you unless you traded it from Emerald (using the Old Sea Chart event). Same with Deokishisu. But they will both obey if caught in the wild in Ruby/Sapphire. Just not if caught in the wild in FireRed/LeafGreen.

As endofheartaches said IT might corrupt your game but only if you enter codes you got from an unreliable source. Using those that are already pre-coded into AR will not damage your games. If you want more codes I'd suggest you go to GameFAQS or the official AR site (codejunkies.com). Don't trust codes you find on random sites on the web. I've been using AR (to get Pokés like Myuu, Serebii and Jiraachi) for a while and I have yet to encounter any problems. Just make sure AR is turned off when you save your game ( ... )

I don't think I'd go there for those events anymore. I added them myself into the game and I don't really mind if it says that I found Hou'ou on a certain road instead of Navel Rock. XD; It's not like I'm going to walk up to someone and go "ZOMG LOOK I HAVE HOU'OU IN MY VIDEOGAME". XD; I only added them because I'm having fun training them and having them on my team.

But yea, I figured you shouldn't bring a hacked cart to the events. XD; That's almost asking for Nintendo to corrupt it. Then again it's silly of them because they should expect people to do things like that. We don't all have the cash to go to NYC. 9_9
