Gen-IV Master Ball

As a first time player of not just platinum but a Gen-IV game at all.....what is most recommended for using your master ball on in the DPPt games? My initial reaction is to say "Giratina," but I'm hesitant to go for the easy answer in the event that there are 'roaming legendaries' in Sinnoh, which I frankly do not know if there are ( Read more... )

if the first giratina fight is too difficult the first time, you have another chance to catch him later on in the game
there are 5 roaming legends in platinum, i'd recommend using your master ball on one of those

Why is only Mesperist roaming and not the other two lake trio?

My friend caught Giratina with a goddamn Poke Ball, so yeah, I'd say use it on the roaming legendaries. 83

and on the actual masterball subject! Keep it for one of the roaming birds (Articuno/Zapdos/Moltres) because they're harder to catch than Mesprit and Cresselia. The rest of the non-roaming legendaries don't run away like sissies, so yeah. That's what I did.

I used my Master Ball on Giratina because I kept killing him whenever I tried to whittle down his HP first. Mesprit was actually the easiest to catch. One Quick Ball and he was mine. :-)

I used mine on Mesprit and used Dusk Balls to round up the rest of the roamers. Just pick one of the runners to use it on and use Dusk Balls for the rest; it's a whole lot easier that way.
