Latias Help?

Hi, guys! I have a question pertaining to my least favorite generation, that being third gen, particularly Sapphire. I have been searching for Latias for literally MONTHS. I have not run into her once. I do what the guide tells me to do, bike back and forth between two routes, slap a Repel on, and hunt in the grass, but I must be doing something ( Read more... )

Ehh..... are you making sure the Pokémon at the front of your party is not at a ridiculously high level? In that case Repel would keep you from seeing Latias as well.

I'm using a level 30 Kecleon in low-level areas :) I thought it was at level 50 for some time, so I was using my level 48 Pelipper, but when I remembered she was level 40 I changed it.

Nope, never even seen her :( That's why I'm asking for help. (It's a week later and I still haven't seen her once. Pathetic, yes?)

Yea, i think as long as you have a pokemon under 40 (b/c that's latias level) at the front of your party, and you're going between routes that have a lot of grass (i found latios between 118 and 119) with a repel then you shouldn't have any problem.

You do know that Sapphire = ONLY Latios, right? No Latias there.

Anyways, what I did, was go on a route, frolic through the grass untill I'd battled five or six pokémon, go to the route next to it, battle five/six pokémon, and go back to the first route again. It took me about half an hour to find the bird.

All that shit with bunny hops and whatnot I tried for hours and I couldn't find anything.

Right now in FR I'm doing the repel thing to find Raikou and I've tried umm... 200 times at least. No sign of big electric dog. I get a feeling the repel method is not such a good one.

Late comment is late but...uh, Latias is in Sapphire and Latios is in Ruby. You've got them mixed up.

I've tried your method too, but still no luck :( I'm beginning to give up hope.

Oh, yeah. I got them mixed up. I was thinking, red bird goes in red game, blue bird goes on blue game. I haven't played them in a long time. >.> But you get the point - one bird per game.

Anyways, that stinks. :( I've given up on finding Raikou, too. Stupid legendaries.
