POKEMON CONTEST 5: WHAT KIND OF POKEMON ARE YOU?
it's LJ POKEMON COMMUNITY contest number FIVE!!! i wipe a tear of joy from my eye as i say it. are you excited? are you ready? i bet you had no idea this was coming and now HERE IT IS!!!!
THEME
charizard the fire type, bulbasaur the grass type, pikachu the electric... yeah... boring. YAWN. we know. we can name every single pokemon's type in our sleep... they have been the same for ten years now. i am literally YAWNING over here.... so, what if they all suddenly had different types? lapras the fighting type? electabuzz the rock type? lucario the water type? mew the dark type? i could go on... BUT THAT IS YOUR ASSIGNMENT!!
pick a pokemon and redesign it as a different type. think THAT one over and DRAW IT!!
RULES!
-you may only use pokemon already in exsistance, no making up new ones. this is just redesigning, not inventing! and eevees are BANNED. yes, many have suggested a contest for inventing new eeveelutions. do you realize how many times that has been done over and over again? no eevees - no argument! any other pokemon is fair game. you also must use actual pokemon types, no inventing a new type (a new combination is fine though). these are the 17 pokemon types.
-if someone already did the exact pokemon in the exact type you wanted to do... that's fine. unles you copy them, the design will be different, so go for it!
-this contest is similar to the last two in that your IDEA is more important than your drawing's BEAUTY, so keep that in mind and draw a photo, a comic, make something with clay, photo edit, trace (for those of us not as artistically inclined) but a trace only counts if you make it YOUR OWN ORIGINAL ART that relates to the THEME. even if you suck at art, if you have a good idea, just get it out there somehow!
-all NEW artwork drawn specifically for this contest!!! no art you did a year ago for fun. new art only, please!
-previous winners MAY ENTER! there is no ban on any of you guys. it's all fair game.
-please post your art to the COMMUNITY and not as a reply to this thread (or do both). we want to enjoy your artwork before we vote!!
-if you do not include the tag "whatkind" there is a small chance your drawing will miss the final check. i will do my best to save every entry as they come in to avoid this, but tag it anyway!! if you don't, i won't feel bad and send special prizes!
-if you dont understand the theme, well, ask here! :D

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 1st, 2007 (meaning by MIDNIGHT SATURDAY and let's say EASTERN CENTRAL TIME. the poll will go up shortly after the deadline and run until votes stop coming in. you have until the poll goes up to submit your work!).
