Run rabbit, run rabbit, run run run...
He was a peculiar sight. Tears rolling down his face, stumbling, shaking, cowering. A dead Remoraid was grasped tightly in his fingers.
Bang, bang, bang! Goes the hunter's gun!
Something happened. The temperature rose considerably. The sound of his pounding footsteps changed. It wasn't pavement, it wa---

"...'Sup?"

"I said, I said I'd be fine. No memories. Just a walk down the street. Nothing bad could happen. But, but..."
Saturn shuddered.
"The Lopunny carcass, in the window of the butcher shop. It, it started singing...I...I...all in my head. It's, it's gotten worse...!"
Reply
"Right."
*He holds up half a bottle of rum.*
"Drink some of this, it makes voices go away. Calms you down."
~He really needs STUN spores but this'll work...~

"W, what is that?"
He shook his head feverishly and covered his face with his hands.
"No," Saturn yelled, "no, I can't accept that! I WON'T accept that! It's what s-started thi---!"
Slowly the young man lowered his hands from his face.
"That's just it. The voice is gone. I'm glad for it, but, but now it's spread outside, the delusions. This, I'm in Veilstone. There aren't any trees..."
He wiped the back of his hand across his face and stood very carefully.
"You, what am I talking to? You," Saturn gestured to the legendary with a hand, a smile flashing across his face, "you probably don't even exist..."

Then he looked up and he saw himself.
"..."
He stood up very slowly and smiled.
"This is really odd situation for me, because I never see myself, I only see other people, all the time, but never me, and sometimes I kind of forget who I am and what I look like and if everything I see if just an illusion, like sometimes I look up at the sky and the clouds are rolling by real quick like those stage backdrops and, don't you ever wonder if this entire world is an act?"
Saturn was now completely rolling along with whatever happened, because he figured it couldn't get much worse.

*._. Saturn fails to comprehend this seriously odd man. It was him, he'd supposed, but he'd still believe he was sane and this one wasn't.*
...We couldn't be the same seeing that you talk funny.
I hope not anyway.

Saturn fell silent for a moment.
"Well, alright, I kind of doubt that too because if you were me you'd know what'd been going on back there."
He let out a laugh.
"Sorry, people say I think and talk too much! But...but if you're not me, then who are you?"

What the hell?
[He was thankful that he had gotten his armor repaired. The creepy little bit of evidence in the blacks of his eyes was clearly not something a madman would want to look at. Three cheers for eye-concealing visors.]

The Galactic commander took a shaky breath and glanced around, hid his face in his hands and shuddered, becoming very still.
Then he heard the voice and looked up, eyes wide. He saw the man, and stared at him for several moments.
"What the hell are you?"
What bothered him most was that Saturn knew this person wasn't a part of his delusions. This person was really here, and actually wearing that, and no seriously what was it.

Uh... Right. That's a very good question and I'm not quite sure how to answer that...
I can tell you that my name is Palkia.
[As an afterthought, an explanation.] ...It's a long story.

"I think it's a question we can all ask of ourselves...some---"
He cut himself off to stand up, and listened to the rest of what Palkia had to say.
"Uh, you're who?"
He blinked and smiled a clueless little smile.
"P-P-Palkia? Well, you certainly, eruh, look like it, sir...err, space...being..."
Again Saturn smiled, seeming to forget all about his episode of hysteria.
"Oh, no worry! People are always rushing around these days, no time to stop and listen. We all have stories..."
He picked up the dead Remoraid and stared at it thoughtfully, doubting food was readily available here. He should probably eat it soon.

"Excuse me, but are you alright? You, ah, seem rather distressed."

"Don't look, it's just another figment..."
But the voice wasn't one he recognized. Slowly Saturn looked up, his eyes bouncing around the human-formed legendary.
"No, I'm not alright," he whispered, shaking his head and hiding his hands in his face.
"It's like this world is doing everything possible to mess me up! Look around, what do you see? Not as I. This, this is Veilstone, right, hewn from rock, not a field, no grass, no trees, just---!"
The Galactic commander let out a yell and looked up at Registeel.
"I, I don't know where I am at all..."

Try to calm down, sir... who or whatever had been troubling you in your world will not harm you here.

"The rabbit's voice is gone, yes, but now I, I'm here, and this, everything i---..."
Saturn took a breath, slowly calming himself down.
"The one thing that troubles me I can't escape, because it's within me."
