Hello, and Good Morning to YOU!

Oct 23, 2010 13:00

[Here's a Paul. Here is a thirty-two year old Paul. Sipping his coffee at the dinner table, doing some reading. Just another new day without his son in the house, la de da de daaa~
Welp, it's that time. Better check the mail.
He opens the door to find...

This is NOT where he lives. This is NOT Veilstone. He turns around. But this IS his house.

Huh.

He's ( Read more... )

[wait a second was that-...

oh wait the door closed.

oh wait there he is. PURPLE HAIR WHAT.

oh there went the door again.

oh there he is again. Shit, that is him, isn't it.

Don't mind the Nidoran he's holding. That is female and also purple. His MUCH YOUNGER AGE should be the striking detail, probably.]

[What the little one sees makes him suddenly not want to grow up. At all.]

This is actually an ideal place to train... the people here are much stronger than the trainers back home. Puts things into perspective... other than that, just live. There's no League or Battle Frontier here, but plenty of the big-name people are here regardless. But as said before, the island is sentient, so... there will be days, or... even weeks where things get very strange.

[Well you could always fly away to Neverland little one! Haha.
Too bad little boys grow up no matter what. Yes, we're 'talking' about HIS little one now.]

Strange? [Eyebrow raise]
Well.
I actually don't battle anymore. [cough]
[We're going to bet little Paul isn't going to like this.]

...

Is that so?

[He's... being calm about it. For now. Probably a very short "now", but...]

It is. [Nothing? He was sure he'd be upset.]
Had something more important to worry about. [smirk] Is it surprising?

[Because Arceus knows how many comments he's gotten from people he used to know about it.]

And what was that important thing?

[Still no anger. Though he seems to be inviting himself into that house now.]

A son to take care of.

[Just on cue. You're going to see a second set of slippers he's forgotten to put up just yet and some pictures of a young boy as you enter.]

[And that immediately catches Paul's eye. He walks over and picks up that picture.]

...

A son.

[Your going to see this child, just smiling in front of what you'll probably recognize as Reggie's house. The first thing you're probably going to notice is that he's got extremely light blue eyes and if you look close enough there is a circle of purple near the irises. He's got Paul's hair color and it's cut to his length, but he's got much finer and thinner hair that flips upwards at the ends.
He looks to be eight in this particular picture, a little messed up from a day of summer adventures.]

Mmhmm.
His name is Peter.

[He's not going to go on and on about him like other parents do anytime any one says anything about their children, but you'll notice he's got a nostalgic expression.]

[And now he is going to throw that picture down on the floor and STOMP ON IT.]

[Yell? No. Scream? Nope. Hitting you? No sir.

He's going to...laugh]

Hahaha, kid! I've forgotten how bad you were! [He's going to get a few more chuckles out aaand sigh~]

Now... get the hell out my house. I've already had my lifetime full of your childish issues and I have no intention of dealing with them again.

[That... was a very disturbing reaction. But he will happily get the hell out of that house. And he will say only one thing before storming off.]

This will not be my future.

IT TAKES CRAZIES TO FEND OFF THE CRAZIES nolongerarival October 24 2010, 05:31:01 UTC
[He's found that it's less painful to laugh at the past than get angry or cry over it. But goddamn does he NOT want to deal with it again.

Though if he came here, couldn't Peter? He looked at the broken picture on the floor.
To the empty house-]

Just because you don't want this future doesn't mean you have to hurt mine.
