Mars walked into the Central Meeting Area with a small smile on her face and an equally small white box in her hands. She set down the box, stood on top of it, and cleared her throat.

A certain snagger just happens to wander by, not fooled in the least. He's heard it all before. "Pfft. Yeah right. What are you really trying to solicit?"

"Just a little recruiting," Mars says, a little disappointed in herself that the first person to come along saw right through her. She really needed to work on that. Jupiter was better at it.
All the same, she felt no need to blabber about the world's corrupt state, or the talks they could have, the bad times past. No, that was for the lesser seeing.

"Can I interest you in universal conquest?"

"No thanks. I got away from that sort of thing not too long ago. Nice try, though."

"I see." This was said in a slightly livid tone, as was all after, like a brewing storm. "Well, I suppose it's not so much conquest as it is cleansing the world of conflict, but, fine, whatever, mosey along, will you?"
Her voice rose at the end, authoritative and commanding. Mars was certain others would come, eventually.

"Alright, so I'm no gifted speaker, but if you were going to attempt a little recruitment on a god-flooded island with nothing but yourself to work with, how would you go about it?"

Maybe by being less obvious that I'm trying to recruit people for a criminal organization?

"Criminal? There is nothing we're doing not worth for the new world!"
Like Wes, Mars also figured that, if Paul wasn't fooled at all by what she was saying and seemed to know exactly where she was coming from, figured it'd be okay to go blabbering on.
"Everything we do is always for the greater good. Though..."
Mars tilted her head and took a step closer.
"You seem to be the bastard type. The kinds of people who don't care for anyone in the world. Am I right?"

"Oh, I mean, has anything bad ever happened to you? That's strife, dear. All the bad things in the world, from nasty people, to wars, to scandals and rape and stealing, are all brought about and knifed into our eyes every day. It makes the world ever-so-depressing, don't you think?"

The only bad things that I know about are Team Rocket, Aqua, and Magma. Plus you sound a lot like them right now.

"...Am I?"
Crapcrap, think of something!
"We're not monsters like them! We want not to experiment, not to drown or dry the world, we wish to make it better! Strife, does it not ill you, hearing of all the bad things in the world? We wish to take that away, so all will live smiling. Does that really seem like all that bad an ideal?"
