[There is a small red-and-white checkered blanket spread out somewhere in the Central Meeting Area today. Resting on top of this blanket is a plate full of delectable, freshly-made chocolate cupcakes. There's nobody anywhere in sight, so it looks like they're ripe for the taking!

The key word here being, looks like.

[Cupcakes you say? Well thank God I'm a floating ghost Pokemon, otherwise there might be a problem here. So have a Drifloon floating over your blanket and looking around for some sign of other people around-it would be rude to take a cupcake without asking first after all...although that raises the question of whether Drifloons even eat cupcakes. :|b]

I was wondering who'd be the first to do that galactic_geezer January 16 2010, 23:43:49 UTC
[Charon had hoped that no Pokémon capable of flight would have spotted the cupcakes, because the trip strings are all on the ground. He stands up from behind the bush.]

What's this all about, then?

[... aaaaand of course it would stand to reason that anything chocolate may as well be labeled Francesca-bait. To be an ass and let her hit a trip string, or to step out and distract her; that is the question.]

[La-la-la, just a Mew wandering around, la-la-l---
OH. MY. GOD. Are those chocolate cupcakes?! And there's no one around to scold him for eating one! Score!
Mew floats over to the cupcakes, takes one, and... Promptly lands on a trip wire while sitting down to eat. Oh joy.
Charon, here's your first victim. ACTIVATE TRAP TIEM NOW?]

[No matter, one of the trips has been hit, and thus the trap activates. Several of the other strings suddenly snap taut. Unless Mew has insanely fast reflexes, he will suddenly find a bunch of string pulled tight around his ankles.]

[Unfortunately for Mew, his reflexes aren't anywhere near nine thousand fast enough to escape. Good job, Charon; you sucsessfully have caught Mew in yoiur trap.
Oh, and you wanted to record reactions? Here they come:]

[Watch out, Amanda. Going for the bait without a second though means you're extremely likely to hit more than one of those trip strings. If that happens, you're going to find your ankles suddenly bound tightly by a lot of string, keeping you in place. Or possibly tripping you and wrapping more trip wires around your arms.]

[Success! Charon appears from behind the bush, a smug smirk on his face.]

Well, now. It appears that you have ensnared yourself in this trap. Most unfortunate. I presume that you are aware of the fact that this result could have easily been averted had you been more attentive to your surroundings.
