PLOT POST: MOVEMENT

[ Maybe it is a feeling of dread. Or paranoia. Or suspicion. Or something he just can't put his finger on. Whatever it is, it's driven Norman out on his own again, to search for something he had spent five years back home looking for. He hopes, though, that this time it wouldn't take that long.

He knows there is a Rayquaza on the island. Sure, it's ( Read more... )

[Indeed, the legendary for which Norman was searching was still on the island.... Well, in a manner of speaking. High above the island flew the master of the sky, so high that its huge form couldn't even be seen from the ground. From the peak of the treacherous needle of a mountain in the center of the island, however, was another story.

The mountain was practically a vertical climb, only the strongest and most skilled would be able to scale it (of course, one could always fly to the top, but even this was dangerous with the gale-force winds near the peak). Very few things could survive at such a high altitude, but the titan of the skies thrived in it. Norman would indeed find what he was seeking at the peak. He just had to make to to the top in one piece.]

[ Norman realizes about half-way up that if he was younger, this would be easier for him. As the air becomes thinner, he finds breathing to be much more difficult, but he still continues up and up and up. He kind of has to, after all; there's no way he can back down, not now.

It'll take him a while with decent-sized breaks in between, but he will eventually reach the peak of the mountain. And damn, is he hoping this isn't for naught... ]

[But alas, when he reaches the peak, there's little more than snow and a few rocks. At least, that's how it appears at first. Sadly, Norman won't even be able to have much of a view of the island with dense clouds obscuring anything beyond a few feet. One misstep in this fog could have him toppling off the side of the mountain.

Even so, there's a great power looming nearby, along with a deep, low rumbling that reverberates through the thin air, even though its source can't be seen just yet.]

[ When he sees absolutely nothing at all, Norman is filled with disappointment. Is this search really for nothing? Or is he just not looking in the right places? He lets the thought sit in his head as he brushes some snow off of one of the bigger, closer rocks so he can rest for a moment.

And then he hears it. A sound, that seems so... familiar... His hand rests against one of his Pokeballs instinctively, ready and waiting for the possible attack. He rather not fight for once, but if he has to... well. So be it. ]
